Privacy Policy

We take care to protect the privacy of people who interact with Lightnet. This privacy policy explains how we may collect, store and use data about you, whether you are a website visitor, somebody who has a dialogue with the company, or a prospective employee.

Personal data you submit

On some pages of the website, you have the option to submit personal information to us so that we might send you further information. Information we send you will only be in the context of the form you submit. This will be one of:

We will use your email address to send you emails on a periodic basis. We use a company called Campaign Monitor to manage our mailing list who also embrace GDPR and respect the privacy of your data, which you can read about their GDPR policy here.

You have the right to unsubscribe at any time. Any further data you provide to Campaign Monitor to help us provide better services to you is treated with the same respect and can only be obtained by you providing it directly through the administration interface (your preferences). You can withdraw this, or any information, at any time.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
